International money transfers are typically priced as a margin on top of the mid-market rate plus a fixed fee. The mid-market rate itself isn't a price you can transact at — it's the midpoint between buy and sell quotes on interbank markets.
fxmap.app aggregates mid-market reference rates from the European Central Bank (via Frankfurter), open.er-api.com, and other open data sources. Pages on this domain show those benchmark numbers so you have a neutral reference when you compare provider quotes.
We do not execute transfers, hold funds, or quote tradeable prices. When a partner CTA appears below, it is an affiliate link to a third-party transfer service — fxmap may earn a commission if you proceed.

Frequently asked questions
- Are fxmap's rates the same as what a transfer service will quote me?
- No. fxmap publishes mid-market reference rates aggregated from the ECB and open data providers. Transfer services add a margin (and usually a fee) on top of the mid-market rate, so the rate you are quoted will almost always differ. Use fxmap's number as a benchmark, not as a transaction price.
- How recent are the rates shown on fxmap?
- Fiat reference rates refresh approximately every hour from upstream sources. The ECB itself publishes daily reference rates around 16:00 CET on TARGET business days. The page-level 'Updated …' timestamp reflects the upstream publication time.
- Does fxmap recommend a specific money-transfer provider?
- No. We do not endorse any specific provider. When a partner CTA is shown on this page it is a paid affiliate link, clearly disclosed. Always compare the all-in cost (rate + fees) on the partner's site before sending money.
- Is fxmap regulated as a money services business?
- No. fxmap is an information service. We do not hold funds, execute transfers, or operate as a money services business. To send money you must use a regulated provider.
- Where does the underlying rate data come from?
- Daily mid-market rates come from open.er-api.com for broad coverage and the Frankfurter API (which mirrors ECB euro reference rates) for ECB-published pairs. Full sourcing details are documented on the methodology page.
Need a tradeable price?
fxmap.app does not execute transactions. To send, spend, or receive money in a foreign currency, use a regulated provider and verify the quoted rate at the moment you book.
